2011 marks the 17th Annual Ladies Basketball Classic. This event has established itself as a high caliber tournament that participating high school teams look forward to each year. The organizing committee has made sure that this year’s event, like each one before it, will be an event our community can be proud to host. Each year the Classic introduces the players to a special guest speaker, and this year we are pleased to have UPEI Head Coach Carly Clarke as our players' banquet guest speaker. Carly played five years of CIS basketball at Bishop's University in Lennoxville, QC. In addition to coaching the Panthers, Carly served as head coach of Canada's National Cadette Basketball team this past summer and led the team to a Bronze Medal at the FIBA U17's. I am sure she will deliver an inspiring talk. I anticipate the action will we see during the four days of the Classic will be fast paced and exciting. Good Luck to all the teams!
